I've had that, but only when I've been really pished.

The thing I get most when sleeping/half awake is a weird feeling where my body feels paralised (sp) and I try to shout for help but unable to, I cant move or do anything, it only ever happens in the morning and scares the **** out of me.

Hactually once I put deep heat spray on the back of my knees and it worked a treat, and another time I wet the back of my knees with cold water and didn't dry them, the cool breze from open windows or a fan helped aswell. not found anything else though.

Blood pressure!
I had what you state, factory nurse measures 168/102..skyhigh = stroke.

Get to a GP and have it measured.
18 months on: down to 124/84 = peace. Sleep deeply every day, few complaints about 'bouncy legs' in meetings at work.(etc)

I've got restless leg syndrome, always seem to be fidgeting but never really notice it myself, I don't sleep very well either, the only thing I find helps me is a couple of cans before I go to bed, just enough to make me sleep, not enough to get drunk, otherwise you miss out on good sleep and just feel like crap in the morning.

And whatever you do don't try those Nytol herbal things, they made me even worse, all my back felt like I was being tickled and really restless.

Dan.

Its a real problem and you are unlucky to have it. We had an elderly lady living with us once who had the same problem. Think you may have to just hope it will go away.

I have it - as does gorgeous hubby! Can't speak for him, but my blood pressure is spot on. I found Iron tablets helped a lot for us - Blackstrap Molasses Iron to be specific (at least I think that's what they're called!).

Standing up and dancing a silly jig like dance, bouncing up and down on the offending leg (always the left one for me and always right one for him!) helps a bit - but other than that, there's not a lot to be done.

Some mornings I wake up with sore feet where my legs have been dancing around all night and my feet have been rubbing together.
