Ah, you trying to keep yours going for as long as possible, same as me, eh?

Mine is battered, the face glass cracked, but will hang on to it until it expires

Rumour has it Nokia are at long last soon bringing out a proper replacement for it

Make sure you've disabled bluetooth on it! There are holes as big as Leeds in it

Bit tricky with mine as i'm using a Parrot bluetooth kit in the car with it!

Besides, i'm a soft Southerner - there'd have to be a hole as big as Cambridge to worry me Mind you, was in Bolton over the weekend so went past Leeds

hehe

Just to put things in context, I managed to jack a 6310i - and was amazed in what the phone let me take without a challenge!

Phonebook, call logs, SMS content, and more!

Must admit though - cracking phone in its time

The number 4 on my old and trusy 6310i does not work most of the time, which can be a little anoying. Anyone had any issues with sticky buttons before and know how to fix them? I was hoping to take the back off it but can not get a torx driver small enough..

I had the cradle changed on my car for 90 quid then realised i could get one of these.
got one for my old man and although its a bit plasticky it does the job when he changed from a 6310i to a 6230i

The new Nokia E50 - due to be released in the next few weeks - seems to be the promised long rumoured replacement for the 6310i - available without camera for those that want to keep gimmick free.

PS - I also have a CARK91 kit going spare now I have the Parrot kit

Do a Google search - there are many people around doing refurb bits for the 6310i

nothing gimmicky about the 6230i camera nor its unlimited voice recording (via mmc cards)
