Pulling Out at the last minute
Sold my house in good faith last Nov. Buyer tells me he isnt in a hurry but needs to be in for June, he is buying to let.
I find a house to buy, and alls going smoothly for a May get in, only 8 weeks ago he tells me he needs time to sort finances,
He suddenly goes AWOL and uncontactable, solicitors letters flying around
8 weeks up, the people im buying from not pleased, wife pissed off, and me down £1500, for mortgage, solicitors, home buyers report, he also wanted the house off the market, appliances included, and a good price
and he lives in my road
I will be getting my money back the lying cheating basteward, had the front to come round my house and tell me he was a man of his word, well im not, just action low life scum
Rant Over

Should have taken a non refundable deposit off of him. Amazes me that people insist on deposits on much smaller purchases such as cars etc, but when it comes to property hardly anyone asks for a deposit.

Can't you delay for say a fortnight to let him sort himself out. Might be easier than going through the whole process again, or has he withdrawn from the purchase altogether?
