At last, something we can all thank the DVLA for
Well,
It's been an interesting weekend. I was round at the girlfriends and there are a few "dodgy" cars, ie untaxed, mot failures etc. So.... I was quite chuffed to come round on friday and see a lot of them with big yellow clamps on them and then come back Saturday morning and the DVLA are loading them on the wagons to go to be crushed.
Very interesting and glad to see something has been done at last !

That's a bit unreasonable, these poor people forced to run such cars are probably short of money..... knock a fiver off the bill for the scrap value.

I suppose that would be a fair compromise,

Driving while uninsured is a particularly heinous offence. Totally unfair on the other driver or pedestrian who suffers loss or injury because of an accident caused by the uninsured driver.
I don't see why they should get any preferential treatment when their cars are removed.
