There something just as warped a few weeks ago involving a cat..

There is another potential cause - someone's cat. Our cat regularly slaughters wild rabbits from the fields behind us, often leaving headless bodies behind (they like the heads best, apparently, as the brains taste nice 
)
I know the story says they were removed from the cages but they may have been out already, just that someone forgot or child let them out and hasn't admitted it.

Apparently, some b'stard spiked this cat's Whiskers with Cake. People are so, so cruel.
