AMS is looking for an apprentice not a tradesman, he got what he asked for.
Michelle will learn & develop with AMS, Ruth would just argue with everything you put in front of her & any **** up she made she would blame someone else.
Personally he has made the correct business decision. All IMHO of course, but what would i know

Michelle is definately a better manager/organiser plus can sell. She had some really good moments in that last task. She chose the best team as well and even though she put the wrong 2 together, she realised the **** up and dealt with it to make it work for her.
Ruth is good at sales. Her last speech may have killed it for her but how she started it was absolutley spot on.
I'd hire Ruth for sales tomorrow (or Paul for that matter) but I haven't an opening for Michelle (jobwise
).

Ruth did not lose it - Michelle won it over the last two weeks.
If you watch the whole series you will see that the only time AMS smiled empathetically with a contestant was with Michelle. And no, boys, it was not because she was young cute and blonde - indeed last week he said she was a cold fish! His empathy was like that of a father with a daughter if you watch his facial expressions carefully.
The two things that won it for her are the first time she revealed something more personal and told AMS that she her siblings were proud of her and she made sure they did not want for anything and tonight when he said that she had worked hard for everything all her life.
Clearly she had to perform overall however with these very strong values which were so closely aligned to AMS's values she was on to a winner. Even only making half the money and not having the commercial nous of Ruth she still won.

I don't really believe that the "apprentice" will see that much of Sugar, I reckon he will take an interest in her career and if she works out will probably have an advantage when promotion is on offer.
Seem to remember reading that Tim (the 1st winner) had been kept on for year two, although at a reduced salary (but still higher than his previous wage), but he was working all the hours god sent on a hard to shift AMS product (make up/beauty type product if my memory serves me right)

I'm glad Michelle won, she will go a long way, but I bet Ruth won't be out of work for long either, As for Syeed I just wanna punch the arrogant git, as it already has been said AMS has watched her over the last few weeks and the comments she made about looking after her family and doing 3 jobs on a Saturday went a long way to make sure she got her job.
