Default Any Germans here?

Do me a favour! What's this?

Methinks it's a digital EGT... Just want to make sure before I think about buying it. Or, does anybody know where to get something comparable in this country? Just fancied a digital one instead of the usual gauge

As camk says it's a EGT device for permanent installation.

Roghly the seller describes it's good to tune the carburator (!) to avoid a piston jamming (above 650°C) due to too lean a mixture. He uses not the right expression for this (do I?) and claims it has an "intrigated" (!) warning if the temperature exceeds 650°C which he claims shall be reached on a straight road. The device displays between 0 and 1200°C.

He does not sound like an expert and I never heard about the exhaust temerature as being crucial back where it is. However, if you want a thermometer...

More details?

No that's fine danke schon (sorry haven't got an umlaut!)

I guessed it was an EGT, just wondered whether it was a reputable one, or a piece of crap

Thanks mate
