Can anyone recommend me a good bike for about the 200 pound mark cheers.

Halfords own brand Carrera for around £250 can be pretty decent for what you need! They've got a pretty good selection

I've got one of those. Not too bad for transport purposes. Even I can manage to throw it over a gate, so not too heavy for off road either.

If you can stretch your budget then bikes jump up in quality from £300^, and especially from £500. Look out for last years models on www.paulscycles.co.uk for example THIS and check out www.wiggle.co.uk too. If you do go to Halfrauds then don't be tempted by suspension bikes in that price bracket. They will be both heavy and unreliable in my experience.
