Default adverts in jobcentres

, i think i have only ever been in a job centre once as a young lad, tbh i dont even have a clue where any are nowadays

do they even still have them?
and how do you go about having an advert placed in one just ring them up, or can you do it online

does it cost anything?

anybody used this method?
i have visions of an army of chavs beating down my door

I use http://www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk/JCP/ to place vacancies, but I think you need to be set up with an account before you can use the web.

Have a look here http://www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk/JCP/...iceSearch.aspx find your local office and give them a ring.

If you want a young person to train up, why not use your local Connexions centre? We specialise in the support of young people to find work and here in Northants, we advertise jobs suitable for young people in our access points. We don't charge for the service.

If not a young person vacancy, the job centre don't charge either, so it's quite a good place to find people.

young persons are no good IMO

they have no real ties
no real value of anything
no idea what they want to do and just want to "ride the wave"
and are lazy as ****!!!!!

best to get somebody with a bit of debt to help tie them down IMO

Yup, we fill jobs quite regularly using it. Its a free form of advertising your job, you get to review and interview so there's nothing to loose. We find it comparable to advertising in the local paper in terms of take up rate, but we don't have to pay the 100-300 costs for the ad which can be used to make the package more attractive.

Within jobcentre plus you can ring employer direct to set up an account, its all free to use. You can set requirements of the "type" of individuals you are looking for and they word it in accordance with legislation.

you can set a limit as to how many people you want to apply and what method of application is required such as cv, interview etc. If you struggle to fill your vacancy or are going to be employing large numbers of employees then the employer engagement team will contact you and help "push" your vacancy.

The majority of offices are now jobcentre plus which includes social security offices. The aim is for people to use alternative methods to find work such as the internet and phone rather than visiting the local office.
