HOW much to build a brickwall?
Can anyone give me an approximate cost to build a breezeblock wall 100ft long by about 15ft high.
I need to split a building that is 8000sq ft in to 2 x 4000 sq ft by putting up a central dividing wall.
I have no idea of the cost of bricks or mortar but im guessing a brickey will be £100 per day but how many brick can they lay? or how long would it take to build it?

Brickies round our way charge per brick laid, not a daily rate. Going rate for bricks is around £300 per 1000 laid, plus materials, but will obviously be different for blockwork. Give a brickie a ring!

You could try http://www.whatprice.co.uk
But as has been mentioned unless you really do need it to be blockwork, there are cheaper and faster ways to create a partition.

If it's just to create a divide, get in touch with a local Partioning Services Company and they will be able to advise. If you need to provide sound / heat separation between the 2 areas, you may need to seek more traditional methods, such as stud or block.

We usually charge about £40/m2 for 100mm blockwork and £50/m2 for studwork with plasterboard both sides.
I'd say you're unlikely to get a bricky for £100/day. We typically charge ours out at about £180/day. When there's a lot of work on in the area, it can cost over £200/day just to get a bricky in.
HTH.
