I'd try Milletts.

I've got the ebay one. Hilarious, great for our teenage son when we went to Picos de Europa last summer. One problem - not good in rain, I think the gap between the inner and outer layers is not enough. I've bought a couple of cannisters of Nikwax to throw at it. I also wouldn't use it for hiking as it packs to a big flat disc, like having a massive dustbin lid strapped to your back, but it slides in the boot of the car OK.
That's a "2-second", which is quite intimate for 2 people - Quechua now do a "3-second", which is intimate for 3 but probably fine for 2. RRP €59, so £40!
Go to www.quechua.com and type tente in the search box. (Not great results I'm afraid)

Don't do it, you'll spend some of your money on the 'putty uppy bits', losing out on a tent that will stay up in a strong wind and keep out a light shower. Have you ever slept in a wet sleeping bag??
Buy a dome tent with a good porch and groundsheet - aluminium poles if your budget can stretch. You can put these up in less than 5 minutes, assuming your not blind or stupid...

Whatever you do dont get anything square shape(ish)
A couple of years ago I had to sleep in a tent that had a pitched roof, i was sure it wasnt going to be any good even though it was quite expensive.
So off i want to sleep cuddled up to my wife (how ****ing cold is it at night in the summer!) woke up at about 2am it was chucking it down with rain which was dripping on my head.
I stood up and immediatly hit my head on a huge sag of tent filled with water, being slightly tired i for some unknown reason decided to push it out. This created what i can describe as a mini Tsunami which (because we were on a slight slope immediatly came back in to the tent and flooded everything!
That was the last time I will ever sleep in a tent, hotels or caravans for me from now on!

Les, the Quechua ones actually made me laugh out loud the first time I tried. They are constructed by all the fabric sewn around two fibreglass hoops, of, say, 4ft dia. To pack them, you simply twist the hoops into a figure 8 and fold the two resulting circles of about 2ft dia onto themselves - so they are under constant tension. Thus, when you unpack and throw them into the air, they just spring open again, and voilą! Look around the ebay link, it says there's a video (which I haven't watched).

We were foxed for 20 mins by the instructions, until we found another leaflet which had the one crucial fold that the instructions were missing. After that, it was pretty much as simple as described above.

The only time it has ever leaked was during the massive storm at Glastonbury last year, even then it was only a little bit, I doubt there were many tents there that didn't.
I will be buying another Khyam tent soon as it is on its last legs now
