Default BBC salaries - Chris Moyles on £630,000 per year!!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/4919678.stm

Heard Wogan was on £800k - I thought that was way more than the other DJ's but clearly not - Chris Moyles gets £630k - Sara *** - the worlds most useless and annoying DJ's gets paid £200k just for doing weekends!!!

Time to scrap telly tax ASAP

He's a star... at the top of his game. Can't stand the guy but don't begrudge his earnings one bit.

Some bloody jealous commies on here!

Moyles would be funny if he was funny, but he isnt
I thought that by the fact that his show was so incredibly **** and how he was so untalented, that HE must pay the BBC to go on the radio?
The fact he gets paid is bad bad bad, the fact he gets paid 20x my salary for it is a focking shambles...

Regardless of whether or not you like him, Moyles (and his associated production team) have saved the breakfast show from being axed.

Radio 1 wiht Moyles is THE most listened to show in the UK - as a result, he earns accordingly.

I'll concede that the figure stated is rather high but I wouldn't believe it's accurate for 1 second - just a vehicle to generate hype and this type of conversation, after all, there's no such thing as bad publicity.......

I actually like Moyles in small doses, in fact I shared a flat at Uni with someone very similar to him (in every way!), but the BIG difference is that with Moyles, I can (a) turn him down or (b) turn him OFF

When it comes to DJs and their questionalbe salaries, just think about all the previous wealthy DJ (Noel Edmonds, J Ross, Tarrant etc) - very clever, shrewd business people (even Andi Peters - rose from the "Broom Cupboard" to Executive producer )

No surprise there, he is black, so you'd expect the BBC to totally over-promote as a result!

Its like in the forces these days - if you want to get very senior very quickly, you dont need to be good, you just need to be a minority!!

Its about time the bloody licence fee was scrapped I think - they advertise their own programmes all the time, so I dont see what the difference is between those and paid adverts. Ok theres less of them, but even cutting the licence in half and having a few ads would be better.

Acceptable in the commercial world where it brings in advertising income - not really applicable at the BBC though.

I think he is an annoying ****, but you don't have to like him to like the show. i also hate that f*cking t1t 'chappers' (i'm so f*cking cool and important)

find it funny how moyles acts like salt of the earth bloke who strings a few pennies together for a pint down the pub, when in reallity he earns an average yearly wage in a week!

But bear in mind that if Moyles went to another station, or into other forms of Broadcasting, the Beeb would lose alot of audience. Whilst the Beeb don't make money, their funding is based upon listeners, the more "we" use the service, the more justifiable it is.......

And as for the TBH, racist comments about Black people........... that doesn't even deserve any response apart from, when it comes to artistic input and ideas, your skin colour has **** all to do with it.

I would write more, but I'm not even going to rise to the bait - I'm sure others will gladly respond.

someone please explain to me how he has got to where he is...?!

hes an average dj, with very little comedic talent who likes the sound of his own voice a bit too much...ill admit he does occasionally say something amusing, but so does my 3 year old nephew...its the law of averages ffs...!!!

purely down to "one man's sh1te is another man's gold" - just because you don't like him, over 7 million of the UK do. Simple as.
