"a legendary Cream DJ from early 90's. He is in fact a scouser and not a Londoner, that is why it is based on a true story. The Guy is in semi-Retirement and not completely deaf. he works for smashmanagement. "

Has this "legend" got a name lol
Edited to say that in my quest to find out the name of "Frankie Wilde" I have come across some forums where some people believed he was real and even recall seeing him at Manumission in 2000 and how it was a good set blah blah, and how others are saying he's not real ,yes he is I saw him, stay off the pills etc etc PMSL, some were even rating his sets

i remember seeing healy at moneypennies and standing next to him whilst he played the album mix of U2 where the streets have no name. He also used to have a pressed up acetate of 30 odd minutes of scratching and cross fadering tracks pre mixed and pressed onto the actual treack so it looked and sounded like he was mixing
bizarre because when he tried he could be and exciting dj. He couldnt beat match at all but could scratch after a fashion and jumped up and down a lot

on the subject of being messed up
i played a gig in manchester where the dj box was 20 ft up above the dance floor and totally sound proofed . I was as drunk as a skunk and managed to knock out the entire club pa with a ludicrously bass heavy track. I pulled off an amazing bit of 3 deck trickery jumping up and down shouting to the other dj with me. Then after 5 mins looked over the side to see to my horror a perfectly still dance floor all looking up at me in silence

Found an interview with Pete Tong saying the director created Frankie from the worst excesses of stories told by a handful of DJ's he'd interviewed.
Boring, not what I expected, sort of takes the edge off the film now.
