try using a tea towel for extra grip and twist it. hope this helps

I've tried the tea towel .... jammed it in the door .... finally I sliced the large top off the cork and used a normal metal corkscrew ................ which is probably still flying through the heavens!!

Not dirty actually, as sex doesn't interest me that much these days - gone are the 6 times a night like in my youth ........ I'm now right down to 3 times a night.
