Can anyone out there with a Hayter Mower do me a favour?
The old man's mower is playing up. It's a 6 year old Hayter Hunter 41se.
There is not a right lot of control over the engine speed and i think the wire in the pic is sommat to do with it (pojnted out by the expert yellow arrows).
I was wondering if someone has a similar mower and could take a couple of close up pics for me.

try to remove the throttle cable from the sleeve and give the inside a blast with WD40 ( should be doable from the other end), put the throttle return spring back in it's hole ( as per yellow arrow), and give the slotted brass screw ( throttle stop) a turn or so anti-clockwise to unleash some additional lawn chomping ponies

The wire isn't actually sprung. On the other end is an electrical wire. It does look like it should go through the hole but i'm not convinced it should. Hopefully someone has a pic to prove me wrong
