we have a miele solution with a HEPA filter in it. it is awesome at removing all dog hairs from everything. My wife is alergic to animal hair but with (frequent) use of this hoover we have no problems at all.

Hello

Obviously the best answer is to shave the animals:

Failing that, the Dyson animal is really good:

if you are wanting something cheaper than a dyson then go for one of these
Vax Big Bubble Pet.

I went from an early dyson to one of these has a seperate tool for pet hair if it doesn't suck it up anyway! The best vacuum I have had so far

keep them in their own black bags with just the head & feet sticking out. Enables them to walk about, eat etc.
Just change bag when full

I use a Dyson.

Oreck (only available from manufacturer) is incredible. MILES better than any of my previous vaccuums. Expensive but wonderful (and I have a white cat which sheds hair everywhere).

Miele Cat and Dog vacuums are awesome at picking up cat hair. So much suction power that it lifts the carpet off the floor, also comes with loads of attachments free. Downside is it is not bagless like the Dysons, but its far better than our Dyson ever was at picking up cat hair.

yeh we get the same with our miele. When i bought it (about 1.5 years ago) i was told that the solution HEPA(5000 i think) and the cat+dog are basically the same machine, except the solution has the anti allergy filter added. and im sure they charge more for less with the cat+dog......marketing it as different and special for animal hair when it isnt!! (prices might be different nowadays?!?)

Solution has similiar spec to the Cat & Dog except it also has a mini turbo brush and a Parquet floor tool for hard floors as well as the HEPA filter

We just removed all the carpets and have the wooden floors. A £1.99 brush from B&Q does the job nicely.
