Question Sending large (24Kg) packages abroad?

Hello

Looking for some advice please. I have a large 24Kg package that needs to be sent from the UK - London area - to the Netherlands.

Can anyone recommend a good (cheap and efficient) Courier Service for this?

TIA

By large do you mean pallet sized?

It's a pair of motorcycle wheels. I estimate that the package will measure around 30 x 30 x10 inches

Not worth looking at groupage guys then really. Have you tried the usual suspects?

Got a quote from DHL so far. Who else would you suggest?

Cheers.

Usual suspects:
DHL
UPS
Parcelforce

When I was in this game there was TNT and Securicor as well but I think they've all been swallowed up by DHL now.

For bigger stuff I used to use P&O Ferrymasters but I suspect they'll charge you on a pallet rate which may make it pricey.

I was looking into getting some 2nd hand 17" alloy wheels with tyres shipped over to The Netherlands and Parcelforce was the best that Scooynet and Subaruforester.com came back with. Price was 200 quid for all four.

I'm thinking of sending 200 kgs of dive gear to either Italy or France. Who would be the best courier for this lot?

Group of us got stuffed by Easyjet for excess baggage last year so are thinking of sending our gear ahead by post.

Cheers
