Default 42" Plasma recommendations?

Been looking at a Panasonic Plasma TV - TH42PX60. Best price seem to be around the £1500 mark.

Anyone got opinions on this model or alternatives? £1,500 is pretty much max budget.

Default Panasonic all the way

I reckon the New Panasonic is the one to go for which is why mine is being delivered on Friday. Superb picture, 2 x HDMI slots, and gets all the best reviews. Also more compact than all the others. Pricematch at John Lewis and you get the 5 year warranty. Panasonic will give you a free Dvd Recorder - all shops should give you this including any pm with JL.

I'll agree with that. Pannys are very very good. Pioneer the best though prices still very much higher than anything else.

Hitachi 42PD7200 is probably one of the best value for money plasmas on the market just now. RRP is £2500, but can be had online for £1400 ish.

The Hitachi is getting 5 stars in most reviews atm.
