Default Won ebay auction but seller won't sell!

Oh the joys of buying a used car!

I've won an auction for a car on ebay, bit of a bargain! However the seller has just emailed me saying they meant to put a reserve on it but didn't, so they won't sell, even though I won the auction and the car had no reserve price set.

So basically I've wasted my time tracking this car for several days?

Chris

Hey thanks for the input, bloody gutted to be honest, followed the car on ebay for several days, worked out finances etc, got all excited lol only for this to happen.
It's not like it went for silly money either, cheap yes, but requires registering on uk plates as it's a fresh import, so that'll add several hundred to the overall price.

:-( in all reality there's nothing I can do though really, gutted.

fairly common ploy to dodge fees on ebay - i do it a lot myself but just pull the add before end of sale. i make it clear on the add that i will be doing that and i always get someone email me direct with an offer. ebay dont like it but screw them, they do nothing about scammers so i couldnt care less.

your bloke is in the wrong but theres not a lot you can do.
