Which is the ULTIMATE Games PC?
#1
Looking to buy a new computer, the main function is going to be games.
Have looked around a bit, and the best for this so far would appear to be the Evesham Axis 1400DDR-G3. Basically this is built around a AMD 1.4ghz with 512mb(266DDR) and Geforce3 graphics. Have read a few reviews, they all seem to be favourable.
Has anyone experience of this machine, or can you recommend something that you feel may be better?
Ian.
STi II.

If you know anyone who knows a bit about PCs get them to build you one, its much better (you know the quality of the parts, you only get the stuff you want etc etc) and it can also save you a few quid.
If not, buy a PC from somewhere small and local, they should do you a good deal. People like Tiny, Time Eversham etc cut corners to save money. A mate of mine has a Packard Bell PC, its getting old now so he tried to upgrade it, discovered he couldnt buy anything to work with the stuff he's already got in it. Its going to cost him 2k coz he'll have to buy a whole new system, instead of spending a few hundred on an upgrade.
But, if all else fails get a Maxx PC www.MaxxPC.com.

Dell have been doing some very good pcs & suprisingly cheap for whats included - all parts are decent.
Building one yourself is easy but not as cheap compared to buying full systems as it was a few years ago.
