eBay sellers - best tips! Come on up!!!
Hello chaps & girls,
Been selling on eBay for a while, I have a £3 item I can sell timelessly, so how best to sell it?
I normally do a featured multi buy every day, I sell a few every day, costs me £12 to do the featured buy.
What can I do to increase my sales? More featured buys per day? Would that work? How do I decrease the % eBay get?? (I currently only do it once per day, fleaby fees are killing me!!)
Knowing the eBay market is pretty wide, and you lot probably don't sell what I do, I was kind of hoping you could reveal some eBay selling tactics, I'd be very pleased to hear from you.
Cheers in advance, John

Ahem, riiiiiight. Back on topic please for some eBay selling tips, specifically how to reduce fees but still get to the audience, i.e. anything I should consider other than featured listings?

I start with a well constructed search string to try and get back just what I am looking for. I loathe the adverts that are based around putting in a keyword with "Not". For example: "Chainsaw - not Stihl"
I then sort by price and look for 2 or 3 examples of what I am after, check the details and picture (big detailed picture is good IMO, with something to show scale, such as a pound coin or a ruler in the picture). Then check the seller's feedback etc. If I'm happy, I add them to "Auction Sentry" and set up a snipe with the max value I'm prepared to pay. I know some people don't like snipe tools, but it stops me getting in to a bidding frenzy (which I'm sure the seller would like), it avoids pushing the price up and saves me having to remember to be at my PC at a given time.
The other thing that will stop me buying from somebody is rip off postage costs. I know you have to buy a Jiffy bag and post it recorded, but I'm not going to pay £6 postage on an item that costs a couple of quid and weighs peanuts.
OK - not selling tips exactly, but some ideas about what a seller is looking for whcih may help you to target accordingly.
