These are Tunisian Tortoises .. they do not hibernate .. the wife loves them, you should have seen her face when she saw the egg!!
I don't know how to hatch it ...... I know that they are little tortoises when they hatch and don't need any parental care.

you need to get a vivarium (sp) and put the eggin there if i recall, they need to be kept at a constant temperature

No wind-up, no joke ... we have a Tortoise egg!!
Apparently we can expect another 5-10!!

I would find out the best way to hatch it and then get an egg incubator if necessary. Even in zoos and wildlife parks they often take the eggs from the nests and hatch them artificially, as the temperature/humidity are rarely the same as what the egg needs. It can be quite critical, some reptile eggs develop into male or female offspring depending on the hatching temperature.
