Default Invitation to Nissan dealer.

I 've received an invitation to a Nissan dealership this weekend and they are stating that if a customer buys any Nissan model they will only charge £99.00 more than the dealers pays for it. Are there any Nissan employees on the forum ? I would like to know what the dealer would be paying for a car which retails at £23.000.00

They say they won't disclose the prices until the customer actually visits with the invitation form.

Geoff.

i would imagine that they are hoping not many people turn up or they are likely to lose a lot of their profit margins.

£99 sounds logical if they say it has to be financed with them. That's where they could make their money.

they can make up the profit in dealer bonuses - NO ONE sells a car for £99 profit with no other expectation of profit. NO ONE.

I had a letter from Oaken gargae in Wolverhampton (Scoob dealership) offering me a car at cost as they wee short on their numbers for the month.

They didn't say what "cost" was though... sio expect they'd want to hagle pretty hard.

Use to do it at my former place of work. Our "cost" events were usually cost of car + recon (if used) + VAT. It would give some cars a considerable saving and not very much on others. Having experienced it, I would be a little dubious and they'll use "funny money" closes e.g. a car advertised at £14995 would have a cost price of something like £14017.78.

Go and rape a 350Z around for a bit then tell them you don't want it.
