Huge nuclear explosion
Here's some interesting - and frightening - footage of the biggest nuclear weapon ever tested. Detonated by the Soviet Union in 1962, it's yield was estimated by the Americans to be 58 megatons. This was about four times bigger than the Castle Bravo test the US carried out in the fifties, itself a huge explosion.

What's even more scary is that the Soviets originally planned to explode a 100 megaton weapon! The picture below kind of puts things into perspective.

Hmmm, what is scary is that I've recently been given a personal radiation dosimeter for use at work. I'm an NHS paramedic btw . Hope they're not expecting trouble....I think I'd rather not know I was f***ed!
