Default Screen print from a film?

Can anyone help me here, or point me in the right direction?

I'm after a photo (8x10 would be the idel size) of a particular scene in a film - I've got to find the scene I want first of all, but I'm wandering if this is possible. I guess what I'd then have to do is point the person/company to the exact point in the film (I guess in terms of minutes and seconds in).

Anyone know if this is possible???

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Try a Google image search or look on imdb.com. Also look in the back of Empire magazine,

Is this a commercial film or a home movie? If it's the former you should get permission from the copyright holder first!

Otherwise, play the film on your PC and use some capture software to grab the picture you want, be aware that the quality is likely to be poor as video footage is nothing like as high resolution as a good digital photo.

From the digitised image you can do what you want.

www.videolan.org

Download VLC. You can play the film back through that on your PC and you can take image shots of each individual frame, copy this and paste it into something like Paintbrush, save as Jpeg and ask Bonusprint to print it off and a change of about 30pence.

Jobe done

What film is it?

Thanks for the responses so far - it's from a commercial film, but the screenshot is being given to the actress in the clip I'm after - it's a long story!!

I don't have the equipment to do the appropriate "grab" OllyK, so I'll do a search on the net and check the back of Empire magazine, to see what I can come up with.

If the film is on DVD then anybody with a PC & DVD player should be able to do a grab for you. If it isn't on DVD yet - life gets more difficult, but not impossible.
