Default Rowing machine in the loft - insulation risk?

We put our rowing machine in the loft, but it is a Concept II type which has a flywheel on the front which is chain driven and kicks out quite a draught when you use it.

The centre part of the floor is boarded, and then the eaves have pink colour insulation (house built 1998).

Is it likely that the draught alone would liberate (fibreglass?) particles that would then be inhaled?

Forget it John, it'll blow it about, but you'll not see it, but it itches your throat terribly when you breath it in..... i guess you could alsways wear a face mask...... you'd still need a shower when you came down though, mind you, you probably do anyway....... but i'd not have it in the loft....

Just going into my loft makes my exposed skin itch from the fibreglass.

so you wouldnt be a laminator then

that was how we used to check people who came for an interview, we,d give them a bit to examine and watch, if by the end of the intervierw they were itching and scratching, they wer'nt going to be much good.

Even if the fibreglass particles aren't disrupted by the draught, I guess there is still the problem that any other dust in the loft will get stirred up and you'll be breathing that in.

How do you get the water up to the loft for the rowing machine? Do you use the cold water tank?

LOL, moving it back down now. It didn't matter as we didn't use it, but today we are going to and then not again for months

why don't you just continue moving the rowing machine up & down to the loft?
Sounds like enough exercise to me!
