Question Kitchen Knives - John Lewis

Ok folks have built up some vouchers for JL due to spot awards etc from my work, so far have around £100, so looking to put towards a decent set of knives from JL any recommendations as their web-site doesn't seem to show very much, do they still deal with Sabatier <sp?>

Thanks

John.

I think knives are a bit of a personal thing really. What may suit one may not feel good to someone else.

Go to a Dept store of specialist kitchen shop and see what suits you rather than what others think are good.

Just checking that link for the Global knives for £215.

Was in Costco the other day and they were doing the set for about £153
Thats a good saving.

Ahh bu66ers, now I'll have to go all the way into Edinburgh to check if they do them or not
IIRC there are different versions of the Sabatier knives, the ones I've got the now are the light ones, the ones my folks have are heavier, feel much better when your using them.
Anyway who are you sticking your tongue out at lady

Thanks richie, do my best to avoid CostCo at all costs, usually go in for a couple of items and end up spending a small fortune

Try the F. A. Porsche type 301 knives. Excellent quality and they felt better in my hands (and my Wife's) than the Global.
