I'm thinking of an incar GPS, do any of them for warn you of traffic jams, thats the only reason I really want one, as i commute the same motorway route (m62) and theres always hold ups.

Some of the Tom Tom range have bluetooth, and you can link to your mobile to download latest traffic bullitins/ updates..
Alternitvly if you can find one, one of the early trafficmaster units (non subscription) is a boon, as this will warn you also (M&A roads only)
I managed to find one in a car boot for 50p!!

Navman 500 can have the TM module, picks up RDS data so gives you traffic info for free (well, no subscription).
In my experience though (I have one) RDS units are pretty lame.

The Nuvi 350 is amazing.
Much less bulky than a TT 700, and has street level Europe.
And has a talking language pack. (Orders the beers in 20 odd languages)
Nice if you dont want a pda, but prefer to buy a dedicated package.

Have a look at www.traffic-i.com. This uses the TrafficMaster data, but displays in colour on your mobile phone (and has better zoom capability than the TrafficMaster units). £39.95 a year IIRC, but you need to have a compatible phone (I run it on a Nokia 6600).
