I've just had an 'Eastenders' moment
Just got back from seeing a neighbour/mate of mine in Hospital. He's in a bad way having suffered a stroke on Monday whilst at work. Therefore he is about 15 miles from here. His wife can't drive so I took her along too.
So there we are, in the ward, he's awake, conscious but has lost movement down his whole left side, suddenly a woman walks up and starts to talk to him and starts to get him to try to move his body etc. We naturally think she's hospital staff. She then introduces herself, and we return the compliment. After some very small talk, this woman says to the wife "Can I have a quick word with you outside". They go out, the wife returns about 10 minutes later. Has another brief chat with my mate and says we should be going.
As we walk out the wife says to me "You know that women who just came in, thats only his f******g girlfriend"
Cue the drums!!!!!!!

So did the 'girlfriend' know that it was his wife, or did she think she was just a visitor and doesn't know he is married? Did she take her outside the room to say she was his girlfriend knowing it's his wife is what I mean.
It's awful to find out something like that anyways but in that situation I'm not suprised you's left.
