Film - The Descent
saw this last night on dvd (by myself). Scared the bejeeezus out of me :0 A real rollercoaster ride of a film. Some great characters, simple but effective plot and claustrophobic setting.
First film in ages that stands head and shoulders above the run of the mill rubbish thats out there at the moment.
If you havent seen it yet, go rent it, but it may scare you stupid.

Was my favourite film of last year, along with Sin City. Simple but effective. The small cast and restricted environment, along with the unknown menace lurking in the dark I found reminiscent of the 1st Alien movie.

I liked it too, watched it on my own in the dark on e evening, one of the very few films that made me considering turning it off as it was creepy.

Bought it and watched it at the weekend, thought it was great up until the monsters came out to play and then it went really cheesy. Shame because it would have been a good film about them trying to escape the cave alone.
Really crap when they speeded up the film to make the monsters appear to move really quickly.
