Anyone bought a property in Croatia or Albania?

Its something you need to look into in detail before buying.
You tend to hear the 'get-rich-quick' property programmes banging on about house for 15k in places like this, but thats in the middle of the country where theres likely to be virtually no English speakers and very low rents paid.
Houses/flat in the 'resort' areas tend to be much more expensive.

I'd go further than Brendan and say that Croatia (on the coast or any of the islands such as Hvar) are very expensive and although the coastline of Albania is fantastic I wouldn't recommend in at all - way too easy to get your fingers burnt.

Why would you want a property in Albania?
Croatia still has issues with property rights ie its not always clear who nicked it from who! As others have said its not cheap. Neighbouring Montenegro is cheaper but again high risk
