Never go shopping for food when hungry or stoned........
My wife is a size 8 and eats constantly, i'm a size, well, say 2 stone overweight
and eat half what she does! 
I try to go shopping when I am tired or after dinner, so that half of the stuff that i want doesn't appeal to me at the time, and I generally can't be arsed to walk all the way to the ice cream isle!
And yes, laziness does contribute to my "condition"
