Written off cars?
A mate of mine is facing some legal action and he's trying to find some information. It involves a vehicle that got written off about 5 years ago that he beleives should still be on the road.
We had a look at the DVLA website and it showed that on it's original reg. it hasn't been taxed since 2001 so it looks as though it's off the road. What he was wondering is, what if it changed reg numbers i.e. got a private plate or a Q plate, where could we see that info? We thought about an HPI check but he only has the make/model and reg number and not the VIN or anything.
I'm not sure what the full story is, all I know is he creased the bumper on a brand new car and it alledgedly got written off and now he's being sued (after 5 years!)
