Angry Natwest

Someone at Natwest Bank has decided in their infinite wisdom to publish my home telephone number as a recruitment number !!

Just had a call from them telling me to expect a few calls from people enquiring about vacancies !!??

Apparently there is nothing that they can do !!

Awesome !

Bill them for your time in answering calls. Or just take the calls and then tell the person 'Sorry, there are no jobs and won't be for some time'. Or even tell them that it was a scammer and future Natwest job adverts are to be ignored as they are not recruiting That'll teach em

I ditched that sorry excuse for a retail bank and jumped to FirstDirect about 15 years ago. Suggest you do the same - after getting 10 grand from them for their incompetence of course!

Suresh

P.S. Do I need to send a covering letter with my CV??

Apart from being head of their recruitment dept! You should ask them for a decent salary - and a car of your choice.

Make up some telephone box 'massage' cards with the number being the local Natwest branch and tell them "Sorry, can't do anything about it now"

Leave a message saying the bank is insolvent and is no longer recruting for that position.

NWB should be paying you conpensation!

Record times & frequency of calls.

There was a case recentley where some hardware chain had goofed & set some poor blokes number up as their fax order hotline. . . . he got a decent wedge out of it.

I think the company I work for did that to someone a few years back. IIRC we paid for their phone number to be changed, and had cards printed up for them so they could give their new number out with minimum hassle...and bunged them a few quid as a 'gesture of goodwill'

alternatively, get NatWest to pay for an answering service for your phone-line...

Either way they should give you something for such a ****-up!

Yep stress that your family/friends cant contact you because your line is constantly ringing and see what you can achieve from it ££££££

and when people ring have a bit of fun by saying
1) sorry we are only recruiting females for the position
2) sorry you exceed our upper age limit
3) sorry we are only employing Black Africans to boost our ethnicity percentage
4) we dont employ people with health issues/disabilities

They will be flooded with complaints
