Those looking to make financial or political gain from the current man made global warming lie just can't help but hate Prof. Bellamy but it looks like he used to be a bit of a petrol head in his day:

His early motoring history is not that different to mine I suppose. The Lotus 7 was pretty economical to run anyway.
The difference is that I continued with the more sporty cars and motorbikes as well.

I quite admire DB as he's not afraid of taking on institutions with his sometimes radical thinking, esp. RE A/De-forestation.
You don't seem to hear much about him now though.
