Nokia phone unlock code solution here
Thought I would share this useful info:
Having moved networks i needed to put different sim cards in 2 x Nokia 6100 phones, both were locked to orange sim cards. Found that to unlock them is just a case of entering a code, and I found a site that provided unlock codes that work:
Remove sim card
Power on phone
Key in *#06# and your your IMEI number will be displayed - write it down carefully, you can also read it of the sticher underneath the phone battery.
Go to http://unlock.nokiafree.org/
enter IMEI code
enter country/network and phone model
Click generate code.
Now you will get a list of 7 codes - enter exactly as displayed
Phone will either say restriction removed or code failed
Both times I did it it worked first time from the first code in the list
You get 5 attempts at code entry then the phone can only be unlocked with a cable - costs about £10 at a small phone dealer - don't bother asking at the Link or Carphone Warehouse etc as they wont do it.
Now I am not guaranteeing any of this will work - just sharing what worked for me
