I personally think that as a tv game, it won't last long.

- It is purely a game of chance
- There is no viewer participation in terms of testing one's own knowledge
- No sane person will EVER win £250k.

Think about it. If there's two boxes left, one 1p, and the other £250k. What sane person will take the risk? Same with £100k v £250k. Banker offers £175k. Not many are going to risk £75k.

I admit, it has good short term appeal. Long term? No.

The best show I saw over Christmas was some guy that had a "system".

Ridiculous. It is pure chance. He went home with £5 or something

I saw it for the first time last week where some common bird won £33K.

Can someone explain it to me please?

Is that not the whole appeal of games like that though? The fact that a person will gamble £75k on the opening of a box? Makes for great[!?] TV

One thing though, i've never managed to catch the 1st 5 mins of the programme, how do they choose who's go it is that day?

Purely at random.
Everything in this game is pure chance.

Thought that would probably be the way.

How long does someone stay on the panel without being picked then? Seems like only a show the unemployed could enter

The record is currently 29 shows before being picked.
They film 3 shows a day, so you only have to be there 2 days/week.
Endemol pay for hotel, and give you free lunch.

my mum is hooked on it never misses a single ep.

however do you notice this

1, they say that only 1 person knows which one has what amount

but that random person generator could be fixed in a way that they always pick someone with no more than £20k

Doesn't matter if they pick someone with 1p in the box, or £250k. If the £250k is out there, Endemol still potentially stand to lose £125k no matter what the person has in their box.
