This was in the paper the other day, someone found a Lancaster bomber flying over their house!
It was on it's way back from an air show!

Some of the pics are quite old though, the one where I worked 3 years ago has a pic of mine and my old bosses cars outside - a silver mondeo and a silver escort, Mondeo was a "V" plate and the escort an "R" plate.

That said it is one hell of a piece of kit! The pic of our house shows our 03 plate astra GSI turbo outside so age of pic's does vary.

Micky, everyone now knows where you live... even which building.

And perhaps where your car is?

You might want to change that...

what are they going to do

the pointers were not put in exactly the correct place
but.....
everybody in this area knows where i live anyway, and if any dicks want to steal a loud in your face red and white 97wrx then they can save me the trouble of flogging it and give me an easy option to buy another car with the insurance money

Shows my Blue nova on my drive and an ex birds car outside my house, so thats at least 4 years old.
Trafalgar square is still a roundabout- so they are pretty old pictures too.

Pictures are all between 3-5 years old....

Also, there are many places (the majority) that are not high res, even in the UK and USA. Built up areas are, but outside of some towns there is no good resolution and our holiday home in Australia is almost impossible to see.

Thus while it's good, I wonder if the purchased version improves at all or if it's simple only certain areas have the high quality photos taken?

The maps are the same on the plus version, you just get a few extra features. Keep an eye on http://bbs.keyhole.com for updates, a huge portion of the UK was added a month ago.

I didn't think the freeware version was that good unless you wanted to look at major cities like New York, Paris or Sydney, there is some other reasonable stuff on there but the satellite images they use are about 4/5 years old in some cases.

You either need to take another look or open your mind. Good Earth could be considered as the best thing to happen to broadband since streaming ****.
