Default Courior Firm for parcel (not parcel force)

I need a parcel collected in scotland and taken to me in the south - parcel force cant do it as its over 1.5m (its 2m long)

Any suggestions? also i dont know the exact weight so a firm that will weigh and price it after collection (as parcel force can) would be good.

Try Amtrak if you have one local to you, they are pretty good on their prices

Any decent courier will do this :

DHL
UPS
Initial City Link
Amtrak
ANC

You can sort out the collection, get a quote and track the item online as well if you're scared of the phone

I use http://www.parcels4delivery.com/prices_zone1.htm

Only £7.95 for 30kg and free £150 insurance and they use various companies and have tracking from the link above.

Just type in dimensions and someone will pick it up and its a guaranteed 48 hours for £7.45

I use them for sending computers, so I do trust them

Please, PLEASE dont use ANC.

I shipped a whole HKS exhaust to someone on here and ANC lost it.
I said to the woman on the phone it was a box 2m long heavily packaged, cover head to toe in FRAGILE tape and full of bubble wrap and 'polystyrene wotsits', is it possible it fell down the back of the seat?... She said she'd go and ask someone..............

So much for scots being tight

One offers to personally deliver it for you and a small firm in scotland is the only business that will actually take you on.

Within the UK I use APC (Alternative Parcel Company) and there service has always been quick, reliable and flexible. No problems with length but they do have an upper weight limit which precludes complete engines for instance but they have done a few gearboxes and several sets of headers a week.
Also parcel to go .com, cheaper, not as fast but NI and Eire is not a problem and they do all my Continental bits and bobs with no problem. I think they are part of DHL just ten times easier to deal with.
