Default TOM TOM GO 500?

Can get one of these for £310 new - worth it?

Any real advantage over the Tom Tom one which is now available for around £250?

And are they any good?

Cheers

Yeah, I know Friend has the new SLK with Merc satnav that cost him over £2k - it doesn't have his own street on it, even though my £500 system (Route66+PDA) does. As they all buy their maps from the same manufacturer, I'd really like to know why not: the only reason I can think of is that the Merc has one all-Europe DVD, and perhaps it doesn't have space for the same level of coverage as individually-loaded country maps from several CDs.

Diablo - I have a TomTom 300. I've had a look at a TomTom One and tried a 500 before I bought the 300. Can't really see much difference TBTH. I think you get Major Roads of Western Europe with the 500, but it is really major roads - will get you from city boundaries to city boundaries. The sat fix on the One seems quicker than the 300, but the 300 looks nicer. Other than that they seem pretty much the same.

I've got a Tom Tom Go 500. Worth the money IMHO. Good display, the satellites lock in well etc, etc.

The Bluetooth for the phone is good, but the speaker isn't that great.
