Does drinking mean you are lazy?

Does drinking mean you are lazy?
Recently someone I respected called me a loafing drunk
I drink quite a lot but in my defence I have cut down, I mean that's got to be worth something, right?
Anyway, I don't think I'm lazy, I spose I spend a lot of time sitting surfing the net.
I might cut down my surfing a bit so I can get more done but I'm certainly not going to let the person know that they have made me this miffed and affected the amount of time I spend online.
Anyone else feel guilty about drinking and surfing?

Yes, cutting down is the first stage. It's an addiction, afterall. Your body needs time to adjust, both mentally and physically.
And yes, sometimes I also get down in the dumps ( despite my happy-go-lucky posting style ), and wonder if life is passing me by, in the form of a 19" CRT, and a 3rd party, 15 second, force refresh application.
When that happens, I generally go and grab another lager, and things are instantly brighter!

Well I've made a start by leaving a few forums I have made friends on. I say friends but I suppose they are more like relative strangers in real life so they don't really deserve an explanation for my departure. I just upped and left.
Don't come to this forum much but I might stick around here cos at least no one has got stuck into me about being lazy even though I am practically busting a gut to find a job.

It definately makes me lazy, this weekend for example.
Friday - Pub 5.30 - 11.00
Saturday Pub 7.30 - 3.00
Sunday Pub 1.00 - 7.30
Achieved nothing all weekend apart from drinking through hangovers...i'll do what I want to do though.
Anyway I always wonder whats 'normal', 2.4 children, 3 bed semi and a focus, **** that.
