Anyone been?

I'm in the market for a car (after a focus), just wondering if anyone has any experience at the BCA?

Are the cars generally in good condition or can you still get left with a lemon?

Are bargains easily found?

Any other thoughts or advice for this sort of thing, thanks

Which BCA?

Northampton has two auctions per week, Tuesday (from memory) is mostly junk trade ins and poor private and Thursday is better quality private and better trade ins.

I bought a Focus from BCA Nottingham a while back.

Watch out for the buyers fee they charge - it cost me about £200 on top of the £7000 I bid for the car...

Its worth registering with Auction View (their on line database) - it costs, but you can search for the type of car you are looking for nationwide.

It depends on how new you want a Focus? If it is nearly new the prices at the Car Supermarkets are very similar to the Auction prices.

If you phone them you can get a free guide to buying/selling.
