Can't comment, I just mince my words up without realising, so don't usually notice.

lol

Just wondered whether it was widely used to mask the fact someone is generally thick or uneducated.

No offence to anyone who genuinely has Dyslexia.

my mother in law has dyslexia but she doesn't always misspell the same word, but she also sometimes mixes words up ie if she wanted to write snorkelling and surfing at Palm Beach, it would end up as snurfing and snockeling at Plach Bam. Some things she comes up with are hilarious and you never get a birthday/christmas card without a mistake on it (even though she gets someone to write a draft first so she can copy it) poor dear

Was very interesting.

I've just had a thought. Maybe we are accusing a lot of newbies of being chavs, when in fact there could be a high % of dyslexics registering

There's a difference between chav text speak and dyslexia.

My sister is dyslexic, her spelling and maths is affected, but her verbal skills are way better than average. It knocked her confidence at school, but in the real world and in her former job as a customer adviser she is dynamite. So much so she's now a fully fledged bank manager, worrying for me as I know it took her two goes to get her 'C' at maths GCSE. But she has flunkies to take care of the sums now......
