driving to Amsterdam using the tunnel then up through france or taking an overnight boat there from newcastle . I know what jeremy thinks but you still have to stop at night for sleep on a motorbike but could you drive there in one day ?

Tunnel it is - 2 hours to folkestone 45 mins on train 3 hours to the dam

It's not very far at all the other side. Crossing Begium should take you about half an hour.

Thought of going to Hull? P&O superferry to Rotterdam, overnight, superb experience. Leaves Hull 2100, arrives Rotteram 0800.
Bucks to Hull, 2 and half hours? And you could go over our big bridge for a quieter route?

did the trip a few years ago, it took just under 4hrs from calais to Dam, we were doing about 90mph most of the time at 4am.
