Derren Brown - The Heist
Did anyone else watch this last night on e4?
I watched the end of it in disbelief! 3 out of 4 took the bait!
The young guy worried me though. Saying 'if you move you're dead, have you got family?'
Thats mad, you can unknowingly be manipulated to do such a thing!

Not at all.
...but in the end, all he's looking for is the most suggestible people of the bunch. The newsagent bit was really more peer pressure, but quite amusing all the same....
The Milgram experiment is well known, and well documented. Google it for more on this as it's quite interesting.....

I didn't see the program last night, but from what I've seen of him before, I thought Derren Brown was always very open about his methods - ie. that he is choosing suggestible people and making suggestions knowing how they will react. I thought the whole purpose of his act/shows was to demonstrate how simple suggestion can create remarkable results.

Hypnosis, after all, is also just suggestion....think about it.
