how do i get this stink out of my microwave?
managed to cremate a remaining bit of xmas pud which melted the plastic pot, charcoaled(?) the pud and now stinks the whole house out of melted plastic (nice! )
washed the thing out, run it on it's own to blow the fans thru, doors been open all day and IT FOOKIN STINKS
can i cook something small that'll shift the smell? tried a bit of bread then a clove of garlic (big bloody mistake) don't want to cook a banquet in there and then bin it, so any ideas?

put a bowl of water with lemon juice in. Boil it on high power for a few minutes and then leave it in there steaming for about 1/2 hour.
Then wipe it round with a clean damp cloth - any baked on food on the inside will be softened up.
