Default Rotring/Staedtler Mars drawing pens

I used to have an almost full set of these, the refillable type, the Mars ones being, IMHO, better.

I've lost at least three now, does anyone know a decent cheapish place to buy them?

Also, is there a substitute for the Rotring cleaning fluid?

TIA, Alcazar

I don't, but I can tell you that the Faber-castell version is better.

Than both the ones I mentioned? Are they refillable? The ones I'm on about start at 0.13mm, then 0.18mm, 0.25mm, 0.35mm, 0.50mm. 0.70mm etc and the nibs, (points?) were colour coded, in order, purple, red, white, yellow, brown, blue?
Any links to a Faber castell site?

I've not tried the Staedtler-mars ones, TBH. The Faber-Castell ones clogged less because there is a moistened pad in the lid to help prevent drying out, and the weight attached to the anti-clogging filament down the centre of the nib is heavier. They also blot less. I always found that the Rotring version became very messy after quite a short time.

Art Van Go do the Mars professional ones in black only at £7.50 and £2.75 for the refills - don't know whether that is expensive or not - I got mine in the 1980s to replace some I bought in the 1960s .....

Still not quite what I'm after. The ones I have, and need to replace, are refillable with drawing ink from a bottle, into tiny cartridges, about 30mm long by 8mm wide. The ink has a special narrow pourer that stops it "glugging" so they are easy to refill.

Second that My first ones were rotring and they always splodged, usually right at the end of whatever I was doing Bought some FC ones on the recommendation of a work colleague and find them a pleasure to use

Can't comment on the Staedtler variety, I've never used them.
