its a lot more than 28k!!!
just found this. over 5500$ on the first page, theres 28 pages in total!! you do the math
http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...ince=30&rdir=0
so if its 5500 per page and 28 pages 167664$

I'd be interested to know how deep this scam goes. Like people have said - he's had good feedback up to that point (could be hijacked, I know). Also he has received positive feedback near the start of where everything went downhill from people saying "Great Service" etc for auctions for iPods etc, so it looks like he DID used to sell these kinds of things.
All I can imagine is that someone saw him selling iPods legitamately (Sp?), hijacked the account (very quickly) and instantly posted a load of auctions up there that people bid on. Before the original member realised what was going on, it all went pear-shaped...
I wish eBay were more accountable for things like this (what else do the extortionate 'fees' get spent on?) and were made to pubicly explain the outcome of each of these kind of issues. I expect this will just fizzle out and disappear until the next major scammer has a go...
