I thought it was a bit far fetched, but other than that it was really good

I went to see it but they were showing Jurassic Park at the same time.

Actually I quite liked it (haven't seen the original), but Jack Black's ridiculous hamming did spoil it a bit. Friend I was with said it was more visual and less emotional than Peter Jackson had made out.

Saw it last night and to be honest apart from some fantastic cgi i didn't think it was any better than the 1976 version. The 76 version i in actual fact like better as it doesn't drag on for 3 hours
I even thought some of it was way too far fetched.

What really annoyed me was the massive shift in the film from the bottle of chloroform hitting kong's shnozz, to then kong being on stage on Broadway!

And you lifted that 25ft tall,45 ton, unconscious gorrilla from being half in the sea and half out, onto the boat, with a crew that had just spent the last 2 days running from and battling all manner horrific beasts & savages, with no proper lifting equipment, onto a boat, how, exactly?

And the velociraptors...they were nowhere near as nasty as they are in *real life

*jurrasic park.

Yep - Jeff Bridges and Jessica Lange taking the lead. The movie gets slated, but watch it and you will see that the makers of the new film didn't have to think too hard Kong also avoids the rather skinny Empire state building and opts for what "was" a much more sturdy World Trade Centre
