This is so much closer than you think. It scares the crap out of me, probably because I work in IT security and I see first hand, the appalling standards used to protect personal data and the ease at which my technical guys can get hold of private data. We've done it in a variety of organisations from government departments to online casinos.
Also add in that several European countries are considering the active tracking of people using their mobile phone signals and it's all getting very worrying.

I've been quite vocal on here about the impending/partially existing Police State but worry more for future generations then I do myself. I'll never be a revolutionary, insurgent or any one of politcal merit and know, therefore, that I am of little or no interest to Big Brother.
This bothers me; what if our grand-children are unhappy with things? How could an administration be removed or a regime changed if the movements of instigators are wholly tracked? Scares the hell out of me
